Valkyria Chronicles II is the sequel to Valkyria Chronicles. The game takes place two years after the Second European War. The war has calmed down, but now there are rebel groups to fight against. These rebel groups are motivated through ethnic groups. The game is set at the Lanseal Military Academy, where you play Leon, the class leader. It is your task to motivate and plan the battles with your classmates. The game starts off with training at school and competitions between classes, but soon everyone also has to help out with fighting against the rebel group. The gameplay is mainly the same as the original Valkyria Chronicles. The game shifts between an strategic top-view field, where you can decide to move which unit. After an unit is selected, you play real-time in a 3rd-person view with this unit until it runs out of stamina and with a number of attacks.
