Galmedes

Galmedes is a space themed vertically scrolling shoot 'em up game where you take control of either one of the pilots Foo or Bar and their ships. In the game you engage the forces of evil dictator Gildy from a distant planet called Gaston, who has come to conquer the Galmedes galaxy, your galaxy. With the invasion force having success your scientists have begun research on a weapon that can defeat them. Arming your ship with this weapon, you are now ready to face them.

As you make progress you fight of various spacecraft’s, static guns and bosses power-ups. The game offers a base weapon and three distinct weapon patrons that can be collected from destroyed enemies. These are a laser (blue) shooting strait forward, a wide shooting weapon (orange) shooting in several directions forward and a three-way (purple) weapon shooting forward and in two directions backward. Firepower can be increased by consuming addition power-ups. When multiple weapon patrons are collected you can switch freely between them. If the fire button is held down for a certain duration of time the selected weapon charges and when released it creates a powerful burst attack. The game can be played solo or with a friend.
