R + R is a doujin shooter. Your ship can switch between two weapons at any time: a powerful straight blue laser, and a weaker spread yellow shot. Once you get 10000 points, they get more powerful, then again after another 20000 points. If you die, you're back to the weakest weapon and have to build it up again. You also get an unlimited-use super shot that is activated by jiggling your ship left and right.
