Nightmare in the Dark is a platformer game released in 2000 by Eleven/Gavaking for the Neo Geo MVS system. This game didn't receive an AES version and was never ported to any other system. This is the only game developed by Eleven/Gavaking. Nightmare in the Dark is a single-screen platformer similar to Bubble Bobble and Snow Bros, where the objective is to eliminate all enemies on the screen then move to the next one. The A button is used to fire while the B button is used to jump. The gravekeeper will fire small embers from his lamp which stuns enemies. By hitting a enemy continuously it will get turned into a large fireball, which the gravekeeper can carry and then toss at the other enemies to defeat them. Defeated enemies will drop small jewels for score and potions which enhance the gravekeeper's firepower, speed or range. If the player defeats all enemies with a single fireball a giant jewel will drop from the top of the screen, granting a huge score bonus.
