Michael Jackson's Moonwalker

1989 1-3 Players 80% Not Rated

Michael Jackson's Moonwalker is an arcade game based loosely on the 1988 movie. You and two other friends play as Michael Jackson dressed as his 'Smooth Criminal' alter ego whose mission it is to rescue all the children kidnapped by the evil Mr. Big. You have to blast all the various baddies that come at you in various waves while searching for the kidnapped children scattered around the various levels. Sometimes a rescued child will give you health which is represented as a health bar which deteriorates if you are touched or shot by the baddies. To help you on your quest you have a limited supply of smart-bombs which sees MJ start dancing with the baddies before they all die when activated. Also on each level you can see Bubbles the Chimp and if touched you turn into a robot who can now fire lasers. Michael Jackson's Moonwalker is a isometric scrolling shoot-em-up. You follow a forced path and the screen scrolls when you move but will stop and you can only progress when a set wave is destroyed.
