The Road to Gettysburg is a strategy wargame created by Paul Murray and published by Strategic Simulations in1982onthe Apple II. The game takes place in June 1863, during theCivil War, and simulates the Battle of Gettysburg. It uses the same engine as Napoleon's Campaigns: 1813 and 1815. The game takes place on a battlefield divided into hexagonal squares and different types of terrain. The computer takes the role of unit commander and sends the player reports on the combat results. The player transmits his orders to the units via messengers. These troops so take time to execute orders if the commander of the unit agrees to obey orders
