Nintendo Famicom
Takahashi Meijin no Bugutte Honey
In this unusual Adventure Island spin-off (based on the aforementioned Adventure Island-inspired anime), the player controls both Master Takahashi (Master Higgins in the West) and the eponymous bee lady Bugutte Honey as they journey around each world searching for eight hidden eggs. Upon collecting an egg, the player is whisked off to an Arkanoid-style "bat and ball" mini-game where the goal is to leave through the top of the second screen (each of these stages is two screens tall). Successfully leaving the Arkanoid stage grants the player one of eight letters that make up a secret message: Once this message has been fully revealed, the player moves onto the next world with four worlds in total.
